Knapsack
Knapsack is an AI startup specializing in workflow automation for industries that require strict privacy standards — think healthcare, legal, and finance. They came to us seeking a new brand identity and a web design experience that felt distinct in a space often dominated by generic AI aesthetics.
A key part of the visual system was a custom illustration language built with Midjourney, but grounded in intentional art direction and research. Rather than prompting from scratch, I sourced real landscape photography as visual references, using them to guide the generation process and ensure the illustrations felt cohesive, considered, and tied to a specific mood — not something that could have been pulled off the shelf.

Footstep
Footstep is a media production company specializing in the outdoor & activewear landscape. With no existing web presence or social channels, they came to me for end-to-end brand direction, web design, and a multi-channel social campaign to announce their arrival. The goal was to establish a cohesive visual identity that could flex across both a website and social — making sure their first impression online felt intentional and ownable.

shep
Shep is a workflow automation platform for manufacturers that came to us mid-rebrand — they had a fresh visual identity but felt it still wasn't telling their story. The core challenge was communicating a complex logistics product in a way that felt delightful and easy to digest. To kick things off, I brought the whole team together — engineer, animator, strategist, and project manager — and we spent three weeks gathering references and brain-dumping ideas, from film stills to Tame Impala album covers, until clear visual patterns emerged. From there, our animator translated everything into cohesive storyboards that finally captured what the founders had been trying to say.
For the design system, I built the entire architecture around Figma Variables from day one — creating true design tokens exportable as JSON for direct engineering handoff. Every component was built with hard rules around type, size, and spacing so that no matter where it lived in the system, it always inherited the correct variables, resulting in a fully responsive, token-driven system that scaled cleanly from design to development.

Collins
Collins Woodcraft is an independent woodworking shop owned by a close friend, which made this one personal. The goal was a brand mark that reflected the heritage and workwear aesthetic the shop embodies. I hand-drew custom lettering on paper to bring an authentic, crafted quality to the logo — something that felt like it belonged on a jacket patch as much as a storefront.

Ponderosa
Ponderosa had built a strong reputation as a print house, but they were ready to evolve. They came to me to help reposition themselves as a full-service agency — which meant a rebrand and new visual identity that could reflect that broader ambition. With deep roots in the running and outdoor industry, the new identity needed to honor that heritage while signaling something fresh and forward-facing.
